OCS Para-Planning

OCS has been providing a Para-planning Service to the industry for over 7 years and successfully continues to do so using XPlan, VisiPlan and Coin software packages as well as assisting Advisers who have no software preference.

We are genuinely committed and dedicated to the Para-planning profession and believe we offer a great service in this area. We currently have a team of DFP qualified Para-planners that are highly efficient and professional, with each Para-planner having between 5-20 years experience. Our SoA's and financial planning strategies are written in an easy and logical format with the ultimate goal of producing a high quality document.

We can provide your Financial Advisers with varied Para-planning support in XPlan from dedicated contractual work to ad-hoc Para-planning support (mostly suitable when your Financial Advisers are overloaded with work). We currently have a dedicated team of Para-planners ready to commence with any member firm.

OCS Para-Planners require:

• SoA templates (Coded and accessible through XPlan or non coded templates)
• The Financial Adviser will be required to complete a simple 'Paraplanning Request Form' that we supply or provide their own form
• Most of the correspondence sent to us will be via fax and/or email, our fax system is 'online' which enables fast, efficient access for Para-Planners.

Paraplanning Process:

We are flexible with the Paraplanning process but generally we follow the simple steps below:

1. Paraplanning requests are emailed or faxed through to OCS by member firms

2. The paraplanning team will send confirmation details of the Plan Request received with the Adviser; i.e Contact, due date, client, cost, Paraplanner allocated to the plan etc
3. The Paraplanner will complete the SoA using the Advisers Xplan site, liaising with the Adviser if necessary. Completed SoA's will be sent to the Adviser for final approval and any changes to the documents can be completed by the Paraplanner
   
   To establish a familiar long term association, we tend to have the same Para-planners working with the same advisers.
